Tim is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Director of Journeys Counseling Ministry.  Working at Journey's Counseling Ministry since 2003, he provides individual, family, and relationship counseling.  As a clinical supervisor for the past seven years, he provides clinical supervision and training for Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counselor Trainees and Interns.  Tim has also worked for College Hospital Costa Mesa, an inpatient psychiatric facility, since 2002.  He worked with adults, adolescents, and chemical dependency patients in an acute inpatient setting.  Currently, Tim evaluates patients for College Hospital in emergency rooms as a Psychiatric Evaluation Team clinician.  He has experience working with many issues including adolescents, and people who struggle with anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, substance abuse, psychotic disorders and relationship issues.

Tim is a graduate of St. Cloud State University (Minnesota) in Psychology and earned his Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology from Vanguard University in 2004.  He is passionate about working with people to reduce symptoms, achieve goals, and to experience more intimacy and contentment with themselves and connection in their relationships.

Melissa is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She is a recent Southern California transplant from the Chicago suburbs, where she practiced as a Licensed Counselor since 2010. Melissa has experience working with adults, adolescents, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, relational conflict, faith crisis, and clients with a history of sexual abuse and trauma. 

Melissa has over 10 years of combined professional and volunteer experience with teens and provides a highly relational, mentor-counselor relationship for teenage clients navigating the ups and downs of life. She is passionate about helping her clients discover how the wounds and pain of their stories provide an opportunity for healing. Melissa has also received training in conflict coaching and mediation, and offers an intensive counseling format to couples and families in crisis.

He is the founder of In Touch Parenting, a company devoted to helping today’s busy parents calm the chaos, raise emotionally intelligent kids, and nurture families that thrive.

Using his rich humor, insightful stories, and experiential exercises Steve will help you stay connected with your kids. His parenting advice have been featured twice on TBN's show, "Joy in Our Town" and is accessble via his blog and live parenting seminars.

He holds an MA in Religion from Vanguard University and a second MA from Azusa Pacific University in Clinical Psychology. Ross is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Journey's Counseling Ministry and works out of the Costa Mesa and Mission Viejo offices.  Ross is currently the Lead Therapist at Olive Crest Academy, a behavioral non-public special education school in Garden Grove, for students with behavioral challenges and other learning disabilities.  At Olive Crest Academy Ross works as a therapist to students and their families in grades K-12. He also trains and oversees the therapeutic department at the Garden Grove campus. 

Ross was born and raised in the Newport-Mesa area before heading to Dallas, Texas where he completed his Bachelor's Degree at Southern Methodist University.  Ross returned to Orange County where he attended Vanguard University and completed his Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology. 

Ross' passion is bringing a collaborative approach to work with adolescents and teens, as well as their parents, to navigate the demands of school, peers, and family life.  Ross also works with individuals and couples suffering from anxiety, depression and relationational conflict.

Courtney has experience working with individuals (women and men), couples, teens, and children at Journeys since 2007.  Courtney's history includes working with teens as a mentor at St Andrews Presbyterian Church, experience working at College Hospital Costa Mesa with acute psychiatric patients 2010-2015, and work with trauma (EMDR) since 2015. She is also a certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist.  She has experience with depression, anxiety, trauma issues, childhood attachment work, grief and loss, sexuality, transitions and relational issues. Courtney has a desire to see individuals and families experience restoration and reconciliation within themselves and their relationships. It's her hope to be one step in the journey towards change and life lived to the fullest.

Megen also has an MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from the Institute for Spiritual Formation at Biola University and Talbot Theological Seminary. As such, in addition to being an LMFT she has been a practicing spiritual director since 2007 working with individuals and groups. Prior to her graduate studies, Megen spent over ten years in church ministry, specifically working with youth and children. Megen is passionate about spiritual and psychological integration and desires to help people deepen their knowledge of self and their knowledge of God in the context of relationships. While new to Journeys, Dr. Pontius has been in practice in Orange County since 1987, and a licensed psychologist for nearly 25 years.  He was formerly clinic director at Meier Clinics in Laguna Hills, and had facilitated the Autism Spectrum Support Group at Saddleback Church for 20 years.  Dr. Pontius earned his PhD in Psychology from Alliant International University, San Diego and is a graduate of Biola University's Talbot School of Theology.  He has specialized training in Gestalt Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.  If asked though, he'd say the most significant influence to his professional development has been parenting his oldest son, who is a young adult affected by autism.  During the day, Dr. Pontius is a staff psychologist for the Regional Center of Orange County, a social service agency serving those affected by developmental disabilities in Orange County.  He sees clients in both the Costa Mesa and Mission Viejo offices.
