Mendi is a Journeys Counseling Ministry trainee completing her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy through The King's University. She is a mom of four, who has been married for 23 years and has a background in the field of Wellness.
As a former Wellness Center Manager having worked in several allied health positions at various medical settings providing client care, Mendi has seen firsthand the impact stress can have on one's mental health and overall quality of life. Her passion is to help others identify and define key stressors contributing to their distress, target strengths to find solutions, and walk each client or couple through a tailored process of discovering a better way of living. Mendi’s approach is holistic and Christ-centered.
As a client-centered clinician, Mendi utilizes various tools from a variety of evidence-based best-practice methods such as CBT, Mindfulness-Based (MBSR), Narrative, Gottman, and Attachment Therapy. Deeply rooted in Biblical principles and guided by the Holy Spirit, her aim is to create a harmonious balance between science-based therapeutic tools and spiritual wisdom through an inherently pragmatic approach.
