I’ve been in both seats; patient and therapist. It is my own process and personal growth that enables me to genuinely empathize with the pain and suffering of my Clients. I would feel honored and work tirelessly to accompany you in your journey through growth and change. I will do my best to help you feel understood and find a greater sense of personal empowerment and satisfaction in your relationships. My goal is to do this in a warm, and safe environment. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles and my Bachelor of Science at California State University, Long Beach. I work with men, women, couples, families and the elderly. I facilitate groups in depression, anxiety and parenting adolescents. Recently, I completed Brainspotting, Phase 1 which is a treatment I now implement in accessing unprocessed trauma in the deep brain, using a Client’s visual field. Brainspotting helps to dislodge frozen trauma and promotes processing that leads to it’s release and resolution.
I am certified through the Pet Prescription Team a therapy dog organization, which is recognized by the American Kennel Club. My Golden Retriever Jayda and I currently serve at Sunrise Assisted Living. Separately, she sometimes joins me in therapy sessions with those who can benefit from her tenderness. My husband and I have been married for 28 years which has contributed a wealth of information to my treatment in working with couples. We have an adopted daughter in her last year of college.
