Carol Alexander is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. Prior to joining Journeys, Carol worked as a financial executive in the financial services industry. Carol is passionate about helping people who are experiencing difficulties associated with trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, panic disorders, dependency, and relationship issues. Having overcome life-altering losses of her own has given Carol a deep understanding and insight into the emotions that can accompany life’s challenges.
Carol believes that healing and lasting change come from understanding the root causes of our thinking and behaviors. Carol embraces a psychodynamic approach to therapy to help people grow in their relationships with others, themselves, and God. It is Carol’s goal to provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space to accompany people on their journey towards lasting change.
Carol has been married 34 years to her husband Jim. Together they have two grown children and two dogs. In her personal time, Carol enjoys playing the guitar, reading, hiking, and spending time with her family.
