Amy is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee at Journeys Counseling and is currently earning her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Vanguard University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2008.

With years of hands-on experience as a Case Manager and Counselor at leading substance abuse recovery centers in Southern California, Amy has developed a deep understanding of trauma, addiction, and the complexities of human behavior. In addition to client counseling, Amy develops curriculum for and facilitates therapeutic groups at a dual-diagnosis treatment center, further expanding her ability to support clients in a variety of clinical settings.

Amy's personal and professional journey, academic training, and personal life experiences uniquely position her to meet clients with empathy, authenticity, and respect. She is passionate about creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals feel seen and heard. Guided by evidence-based practices and a deep curiosity about the healing process, Amy believes that meaningful growth is possible when therapy is built on trust, collaboration, and compassion, and empowerment.
