I’ve been in both positions: patient and therapist. Like all therapists, I have determinedly studied theory and treatment strategies. The changes that occurred during my own therapy however, gave me the passion to help others who are suffering and ready to move forward in their own deeply personal journey towards healing. You may feel a deep sense of inner turmoil that you are reluctant to share with others or have complex relationships in your life. You may be navigating unexpected circumstances that have been activated or exacerbated by the Pandemic. I would consider it a privilege to work with you and my goal is to do so in a warm, receptive and understanding environment.

For nine years I worked in ministry as a pre-marital counselor. I interned at Airport Marina Counseling Services where my caseload included individuals and families from a wide variety of cultures from all over Los Angeles County. I have been with Journeys Counseling at the South Bay location for nearly nine years and have facilitated groups in depression and parenting and speak on mental health topics at a local church. Recently, I completed training in Brainspotting Phase 1 and Phase 2, which is a treatment process that helps access and may release unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain.

My husband of 29 years and I, have an adopted daughter who is currently completing a graduate program in New York. I am certified with my therapy dog Jayda through the Pet Prescription Team to volunteer in a variety of locations in Los Angeles County.
