I’ve been in both positions: patient and therapist. Like all therapists, I have diligently studied theory and treatment strategies. The changes that occurred during my own therapy however, gave me the passion to help others who are suffering and ready to engage in their own deeply personal journey towards healing. Whatever internal turmoil, relationship complexities or unexpected circumstances, I would consider it a privilege to work with you. My goal is to do so in a warm and authentic environment.
For nine years I worked in ministry as a pre-marital counselor. I interned at Airport Marina Counseling Services where my caseload included individuals and families from a wide variety of cultures throughout Los Angeles County. I have been with Journeys Counseling South Bay for nearly ten years and have facilitated groups in depression, anxiety and parenting and speak on mental health topics at local churches. I specialize in working with couples, families and individual men and women.
My husband of 30 years and I have an adopted daughter who has started her career in Hospitality Management in Palm Beach, FL. My Golden Retriever Jayda and I are certified through the Pet Prescription Team to serve at a variety of locations in Los Angeles County.
