Tim is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the Administrative Director for Journeys. In addition, Tim is an Assistant Professor at Vanguard University in the Graduate Program for Clinical Psychology where he teaches Marital Therapy and Family Therapy courses. Tim holds a Masters in Religion from Vanguard University, Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University, and a Doctor of Ministry from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. His research for his doctoral project focused on two areas: Emotional Intelligence and a Theology of Emotion.

Tim is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, Christian Association for Psychological Studies, an ordained minister and a regular speaker at churches and conferences. Tim is married to Joy and they have two boys together Liam and Rett.

Kaytie is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern at Journeys Counseling Ministry. She is currently working on her Doctorate at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Applied Clinical Psychology. She completed her Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology and her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Vanguard University of Southern California. She specializes in working with those struggling with eating disorders, overeating, and other food and lifestyle struggles.

Kaytie is in the process of writing her dissertation on the effectiveness of the current available treatment for eating disorders. Along with her research, Kaytie is working closely with Journey's to provide education, support, and therapy groups for Eating Disorders. Her passion is to provide a deeper understanding of eating disorders, and to walk alongside those that are hurting and see them experience healing and growth individually and within their relationships.

Prior to her work on Eating Disorders, Kaytie also gained clinical experience working with individuals, families, and couples struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety and their relationships.

Since the year 2000, Steve's clinical experience has been focused on strengthening the emotional bonds of couples and their families.  If you are looking for a non-therapeutic setting, consider attending one of Steve’s parenting workshops where he helps busy parents take the guesswork out and put the fun back into raising their children.  Steve's workshops are rich with humor, insightful stories and experiential exercises.  Steve and his parenting advice have been featured twice on TBN's show, "Joy in Our Town."

In addition to doing therapy, Steve is an Assistant Professor or Psychology at Vanguard University.  Since 2000 he has taught several classes: Developmental Psychology, Behavior Modification, Social Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Psychology of the Family, and Foundations of Christian Life.  Steve holds a Master of Arts degree in Religion from Vanguard University, and a second M.A. from Azusa Pacific University in Clinical Psychology.

Steve is an ordained minister and a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Steve also holds certifications with organizations such as Prepare and Enrich and the Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program.

Steve's outside interests include surfing and doing it as often as possible. Together, Steve and his wife Toni raise their two boys.

Courtney is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Journeys Counseling Ministry and earned her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology at Vanguard University. She has completed a Bachelors in psychology from Vanguard, as well as a minor in music. Courtney has experience working with individuals, couples, teens, and children at Journeys since 2007, and has been working at College Hospital Costa Mesa with acute psychiatric patients since 2010. She has worked with children ages 0-12 in after-school programs/preschool settings, and mentored high school/college-age students at St Andrews Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach. She has also been a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists since 2007.

Courtney has a desire to see individuals and families experience restoration and reconciliation within themselves and their relationships. Courtney lives in Orange County with her husband Aaron.

Megen is a Marriage Family Therapist intern at Journeys. She completed her MS in Clinical Psychology at Vanguard University in May 2012. Megen also has an MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from the Institute for Spiritual Formation at Biola University and Talbot Theological Seminary. As such, in addition to being a MFT intern she is a practicing spiritual director with nine years experience working with individuals and groups. Prior to her graduate studies, Megen spent over ten years in church ministry, specifically working with youth and children. Megen is passionate about spiritual and psychological integration and desires to help people deepen their knowledge of self and their knowledge of God in the context of relationships. Megen and her husband are the parents of two young daughters.

Elizabeth S. Powell completed her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. Her dissertation examined Christian faith development in college students. Dr. Powell has worked with at risk youth in Los Angeles while also conducting assessments and providing therapy. She has previously worked with adolescents and college students in multiple settings. Dr. Powell also has over five years experience working in youth ministry and developing leaders in church organizations. She has a strong interest in understanding one's identity, working with young adults, and training leaders. Dr. Powell is an adjunct faculty member at Azusa Pacific University and a full time faculty member at Vanguard University.
